| Born in Montana on Sept. 23, 1912. Ethel was the wife of Judge H. F. Keeler. Formerly of Colorado, she moved to southern California about 1940 and settled in Long Beach. She studied locally with Elsie Palmer Payne, Sueo Serisawa, and Loren Barton. Her painting forte was Indian genre as well as landscapes of the High Sierra and southern California deserts. A divorcée, she died in Long Beach on Jan. 2, 1978.
