| Born in Hungary on March 10, 1880. Klein immigrated to the U.S. in 1900 and in 1907 settled in San Francisco. A house painter and self-taught artist, his paintings are primitive á la Grandma Moses. He died in San Francisco on Oct. 12, 1953.
