| Born in New York on Sept. 3, 1889. Koehl was a resident of Point Loma (settlement on the outskirts of San Diego) from the late teens through the 1920s. For 40 years he worked as a maintenance man at the Theosophical Society. In his leisure he worked in oil, pastel, and crayon. Koehl died in Altadena, CA on Jan. 23, 1967.
