| Born in Bakersfield, CA on Oct. 5, 1905. After earning a B.A. degree from Santa Barbara Teachers College, Nevins was a teacher at Santa Monica High School during 1927-49. She died in Orange County, CA on Oct. 30, 1975. Her married name was Young.
