| Born in Nevada in September 1874. Hall was a resident of San Francisco by 1889. She studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute under Arthur Mathews and was a long-time pupil of William Keith whose influence is seen in her landscapes. She further studied at the ASL of NYC and in Paris with Jean Paul Laurens. By 1900 she had moved across the bay to Berkeley and was still there in 1910. Kate Hall died in Philadelphia.
