| Born in Ann Arbor, MI on March 31, 1896. Hatch attended Northwestern University before enlisting in the Navy during WWI. After his release he traveled extensively in the West where he was inspired to paint. By the early 1930s he had moved to Alameda, CA where he studied painting and began producing desert landscapes and marine subjects. He died in Los Angeles, CA on Oct. 16, 1969.
