Daniel Christopher Paulus was a sculptor born on April 11, 1848 in Wurttemberg, Germany. He immigrated to America in 1865. Spent several years working in Palestine and Germany. Operated C. Paulus & Son, “monuments and tombstones, granite, marble, and Bedford stone” at 1110 Main in Newton, Kansas from 1905-08. Wife was Barbara. Moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1916.
