| Born in Illinois on Dec. 28, 1878. By 1910 Florence had married Robert B. Peters and settled on a fruit farm in San Bernardino. Mrs. Peters was an interior decorator and active in southern California in the 1920s and 1930s. She painted bold, modern canvases (often with a palette knife) and served as state chairman of art in the California Federation of Women's Clubs in the mid-1930s. She died in Orange, CA on Nov. 14, 199948.
