Operating most of her career from a gallery in Victoria, British
Columbia, Nita Forrest was a painter, largely self taught although she
studied with Herbert Siebner, and was influenced by she Richard
Ciccimarra and Maxwell Bates.
She operated the Print Gallery in Victoria from 1968 to 1972, and in
this capacity proviced a venue for exhibitions by contemporary artists
including Jack Shadbolt, Tony Onley, Michael Morris, Donald Harvey, and
many other Victoria artists.
