| Born in Illinois on Sept. 27, 1874. Heise studied at the AIC. By 1924 she had moved to southern California. In that year she began teaching art at Huntington Park High School and continued there for many years. She was awarded a scholarship to the Chouinard Art School in 1936. A spinster, she died in Los Angeles on June 26, 1957.
