| Born in Eugene, OR on March 14, 1885. Margaret Gill studied for four years at the ASL in NYC. Returning to Salem, she graduated from Williamette University and then taught art there for several years. In 1917 she married Dr. Lewis Hobson. After settling in Los Angeles in 1928, she continued her art studies at UCLA and Chouinard Art Institute. She died there on July 16, 1964.
