| Born in Denmark on Aug. 8, 1881. Marian was the wife of Roger Lowrie. She moved to Oakland in 1898 and established a studio-home in Piedmont. She studied locally at the CCAC under Frederick Meyer and Xavier Martinez. In 1938 she toured Mexico, painting in out-of-the-way places. She died in Oakland on Sept. 18, 1948.
