Emma L. Ludlum was born in Illinois in 1837.  Emma Ludlum came to San Francisco with her family in the 1850s.  She married Albert Mills in 1875 and lived in San Francisco in 1880 and San Diego in 1900.

Exhibited:  Mechanics' Institute (SF), 1857 (florals).
