| Born in Kings Norton, England on April 12, 1898. Davies immigrated to Wisconsin about 1914 and briefly studied art in Madison at the university. About 1919 he settled in San Francisco and studied for two years at the CSFA where he earned a scholarship for further study in NYC at the ASL. After an European sojourn, he returned to San Francisco in 1925 and was active in the local art world into the 1950s. During WWII he was a hydrolic mechanic and continued in this capacity (showing 500 of 828 characters). |
