| Born in Ossining, NY on Feb. 1, 1878. After obtaining his Ph.D. in 1906, Fisher spent fifty years at Stanford University as a professor of zoology. In his leisure he painted still lifes and portraits. He died in Carmel Valley, CA on Nov. 2, 1953.
