Sam Lewis Rand taught art in New York’s Harlem and painted in casein and watercolor. He has been involved in the art scene in all it’s facets. He was a member of the Monument Fine Arts and Archives Section of Supreme Headquarters US Army involved in the preservation and collection of looted art collections during World War II.
