Cora B. Miner resided in Illinois since her childhood. After graduating from the Art Department of Valparaiso University, she attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and the Applied Arts School of Chicago. She had further study with J.F. Timmins, Frederick M. Grant and John A. Spelman.
She was the Supervisor of Art for the Sycamore Public Schools for c. eight years. She was a member of the All-Illinois Society of the Fine Arts and exhibited at the Haish Memorial Library.
