Attended Baker University at Baldwin from 1958-62. Walter Bailey earned an MFA from the University
of Kansas, Lawrence. He began teaching at Baker in 1965 and retired from
there in 2007. After retiring, Bailey worked as a special assistant to
the president, assembling and documenting Baker’s art collection and
directing the campus’s Holt-Russell Gallery.
