Maurine Griffin (1904-1944)
Painter. Born in St Paul, Minnesota on December 12, 1904. When Maurine was a child, the Griffin family moved to southern California and settled on a ranch near the San Fernando Mission. After graduating from high school, she studied at Otis Art Institute and with Conrad Buff at his studio in Eagle Rock. She worked briefly in Los Angeles for the Evening Herald as a fashion illustrator before her marriage to Albert Sanders. The (showing 500 of 800 characters). |
