This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Rome, Italy on April 1, 1878.  After graduating from the National Academy in Rome, Giorgi moved to the U.S. about 1902.  He painted frescoes and portraits in New Orleans until 1915.  At that time he was called to Hollywood by D. W. Griffith to work on the film “Intolerance.”   He remained in Los Angeles until his demise on Nov. 6, 1963. 

Exh: PPIE, 1915 (gold medal); Professional Artists Club (LA), 1924; Long Beach Expo, 1928 (bronze medal); LA County Fair, 1928; Greek Theater (LA), 1951; Painters & Sculptors of LA, 1952; Ebell Club (LA), 1955. 

In:  Elks Temple, LA (heroic figures); Monteleon Hotel, New Orelans (fresco); So. Calif. Academy of Science, LA (bust); Jefferson Memorial Museum, St Louis, MO (bust).
