This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in St Louis, MO on July 1, 1894.  The Witzleben family arrived in southern California when Eugenia was a child.  At age 16 she studied in Los Angeles with Tess Razalle in the old Blanchard Bldg.  By the early 1940s she had married John Grant and settled in South Pasadena where she was active until her demise on July 15, 1978. 

Exh:  Calif. Art Club, 1942; Women Painters of the West, 1943 (1st prize), 1944; San Gabriel Artists Guild, 1943; Painters & Sculptors of LA, 1944; Society for Sanity in Art, CPLH, 1945; Laguna Beach AA, 1945; Bowers Museum, 1947.
