Harden was born December 12, 1888 in Missouri. Enrolled at the State Teacher’s College in Springfield, MO and taught school for several years before her marriage. Did a correspondence course with the Minneapolis Fine Arts school but did not complete. Also studied in the Bisstram Fine Arts School in Taos, NM for two summers. Lived in Protection, Kansas by 1925. Known as the “Grandma Moses of Comanche County,” her work was exhibited in several exhibitions in Dodge (showing 500 of 792 characters). |
