This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Grew up on a series of small farms and attended one-room country schools through the eighth grade.  Graduated from Admire High School and attended Kansas State Teachers College,
Emporia. Served in the U.S. Army and returned to college graduating with a B.S. in English in 1956.  Taught at Derby High School for 6 years and earned an M.A. from Emporia State in 1962. Jensen then taught English at Wichita High School Southeast for 28 years.  In 1978 he bought several cast iron junk pieces and took a welding class where he began creating furniture and outdoor wall hangings.  In 1986 he purchased 28 acres in Butler County that became “Sculpture Hill” where he installed over 50 pieces of outdoor sculpture and opened the Red Barn Gallery with hundreds of his creations.  His sculpture is wide-ranging in style with many based on English literature and of whimsical design.

Exhibitions: Erman B. White Gallery of Art, El Dorado; Wichita Center for the Arts.
