Margaret "Madge" Jean Overstreet (Mrs. L. R. Taught at the College of Emporia then studied art in Paris and New York. Established a studio in New York City and was living there in 1898.  Married L.R. Wright
of Emporia in 1900 then moved to Kansas City.  Wright died in 1921.  Married Frank McLennan, the founder and publisher of the Topeka State Journal.  Together they built Cedar Crest, a chateauesque mansion, in 1929 that was donated to the state of Kansas after her death on November 13, 1955 in Topeka, Kansas, to serve as the Governor’s Mansion.
