| Richard "Dick" N. Schnacke grew up in Topeka. Earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State College. Worked for Aluminum Company of America in Spokane, at the Kaiser plant in Newark, OH, and for 31 years as a design engineer in West Virginia. By 1972, Schnacke had a business producing folklore toys. He appeared on television shows “To Tell the Truth” and the David Frost Show.
