This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Primarily an actor who appeared in the famous Mary Poppins movie and the Our Gang (Little Rascals) TV series, Don Barclay is also known as a cartoonist and clown painter.

He was born Donn Van Tassel Barclay on December 26, 1892 in Ashland, Oregon, and died on October 16, 1975, in Palm Springs, California.

His painting of a tiny skier jumping off of Bob Hope's nose can be seen at the Library of Congress.  Actress Diane Keaton wrote a book about clown paintings, inspired by Barclay's work.
