Christian F. Weigman (1937-2008)
He was born in Santa Barbara, California (1937) of an artistic mother (Marjorie McPhail Weigman) and a father who used his artistic skills as a dental technician and boat builder. He grew up in the art world with DeWitt and Douglas Parshall, Willard Cox, Eustace Ziegler, Louis Hughes among others. His father was an early member of the Rancheros and the family knew a lot of artist from the film industry. The Cisco Kid stands out in the memory of a young boy as well as Jessica Landsbury and the Cord (car) family.
Chris developed a love of photography at a young age and had an association with the Brooks Institute. As a young man, he started professional photography work. With his move overseas, Chris became an International as well as an American artist.
Chris Weigman died in Portland, Oregon in 2008.
