| Robert Viven Howard was born in Canada in 1890. Howard moved to Monterey, CA in 1923 and was active there for a few years. He had a studio-home at 716 Pacific Street and was a close friend and painting partner of the Bruton sisters. By 1950 he had returned to Canada and lived in Fenwick and Chatham until his demise on Oct. 2, 1965.
