| Byron Alton Hunt was born in Eugene, OR on Jan. 19, 1905. During the 1920s Hunt settled in San Francisco into a studio in the “Monkey Block” (now the Transamerica Pyramid.) During the Depression he worked as a weaver for the FAP and as a sketcher for Diego Rivera at the Golden Gate International Exposition. He died in Clear Lake, CA on June 12, 1993.
