| Leo Dora Yost Cole was born in Santa Ana, CA on July 26, 1882. Dora Yost worked briefly as a nurse before marrying Fred Cole. Settling in Santa Ana, she was busy raising a family until the mid-1930s. She then took up painting and specialized in landscapes and flowers. Mrs. Cole was presented with a key to the city shortly before her death in Santa Ana on Dec. 21, 1984.
