| Vera Parr Cox was born in California on May 14, 1884. Vera Parr married and settled in San Francisco in 1907. She studied at the local Institute of Art and seems to have painted only briefly before starting a family. She died in San Francisco on Jan. 9, 1972. Her works include animal portraiture.
