| Jay Conrade Cummins was born in Carthage, MO on July 2, 1901. By 1924 Cummins had settled in San Bernardino, CA and was active there into the 1950s. A leather craftsman, he painted landscapes of the area around his home in his leisure. He retired to Mesa, AZ and died there in November 1978.
