Biography from Stillwell House Fine Art and Antiques:
An established painter and print maker since 1970, New Jersey native Anthony Migliaccio began to draw and paint at an early age having been influenced by his father, who himself considered a career in art.  His influences in painting are varied and diverse, including such masters as Cezanne, Matisse, Sargent and Diebenkorn, to name a few.  However, it was his mentor and good friend, the late Nick Caivano, a student of Oscar Kokoschka and Ivan Mestrovic, who influenced him the most.  Caivano's encouragement helped him to reach his dream of becoming a full time painter.  And like most landscape artists, Migliaccio is fascinated by the outdoors, which helps him maintain the integrity of his work while painting in the studio.

In addition to traveling throughout the U.S., his painting excursions have taken him to scenic locations in Canada, Mexico, and Europe.  He has exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Salmagundi Club and the National Arts Club  in New York City, and at the Monmouth Museum, The Noyes Museum, Monmouth University, Kean University, and Brookdale Community College in New Jersey.

Along with his many awards and achievements, he has had several solo exhibits. Migliaccio is in Who's Who in American Art and he is a Signature Member Artist at the Noyes Museum in New Jersey.  He is a recipient of a Geraldine R. Dodge Fellowship to paint in Italy and France and one of his paintings of Sandy Hook National Park was selected to hang in the offices of the EPA in the Ariel Rios Building, Washington D.C.

Migliaccio is an associate member of the Oil Painters of America and an exhibiting artist member of the Audubon Artists, Inc, New York City.  He earned a bachelor's degree from The College of New Jersey and a master's degree in art education from Kean University majoring in printmaking.  Prior to his professional art career he was an art teacher and arts administrator in New Jersey public schools.
