| Clara Loomis Irvine was born in Ohio on June 3, 1894. By 1910 Clara was living in Oakland . By 1916 she had wed John W. Irvine and had settled in Modesto , CA . She died there on Jan. 11, 1985. Her work includes full-size landscapes and small mission paintings.
