| | Harold E. Salisbury was born in Warsaw, NY on Aug. 29, 1887. Salisbury grew up in Monrovia, CA and graduated from high school there in 1909. He then studied at Stanford University and worked as a freelance artist in Los Angeles. He died in San Diego, CA on Sept. 12, 1971. | Source:
