John Earl Courtright (1906-1946)
Born in 1906 in Ohio, Courtright studied at the Peoria (Illinois) Art Institute, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and New Bauhaus in Chicago with Archipenko (1928).
In 1926, he painted mural of Illinois River Valley for the Jefferson Hotel Grill Room in Peoria, Illinois and exhibited 20 paintings at the Peoria Public Library in 1928.
Courtright also painted murals for Chicago public schools and was a children's book illustrat (showing 500 of 864 characters). |
