| Richard Gabriel Chase was born in Massachusetts on Feb. 11, 1919. Chase studied at the Worcester Art Museum School and earned a B.A.degree from Massachusetts College of Art. After serving in the Army during WWII, he moved to southern California and taught life drawing and portraiture at San Bernardino College. He painted landscapes, birds, still lifes, coastals, and murals. He died near Escondido, CA on Dc. 11, 2007.
Works held in Public Places: San Diego Air & Space Museum; Manchester Grand Hyatt (San Diego).
