| Queen B. Smith was born in Ohio in 1898. Smith was teaching in the small town of Union in San Joaquin County in 1930. By 1932 she had moved to Los Angeles County and was teaching in the public schools of Inglewood. She died in Los Angeles on July 14, 1960.
