Mildred Ada Scott Watersworth was born in San Francisco, CA on March 9, 1905. Uprooted by the earthquake and fire of 1906, the Scott family moved across the bay to Ross where Mildred’s grandfather, Harry S. Scott had served as the town’s first mayor. She grew up there an attended the Katharine Branson School.
Opting for an art career, she studied with Rudolph Schaeffer, California School of Fine Arts, and privately with Jade Fon, Harold Gretzner, Nat Levy, and Herman St (showing 500 of 1711 characters). |
