Ray-Bernice Alexandra Kaiser was born in Sacramento, CA on Dec. 15, 1915. “Rae” Kaiser graduated from the Bennett School in Millbrook, NY in 1933 and then moved to New York City where she studied abstract expressionist painting with Hans Hofmann.
She was a founder of American Abstract Artists in 1936 and exhibited in their first show at the Riverside Museum in Manhattan in 1937. She further studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan where she met furniture designer, (showing 500 of 704 characters). |
