| Born in Pueblo, Colorado and raised in Sweetwater, Texas, Taylor began riding rodeos at an early age. He won a scholarship to Tarleton State University and became a practicing veterinary doctor. A full-time wildlife sculptor for over 25 years, he specializes in eagles and other birds.
He has sculpted several public monuments and his work is in the collections of three presidents and two vice-presidents.
