| Nora J. Sterry was born in Emporia, KS on Oct. 28, 1879. Sterry settled in Los Angeles in 1896. She taught in the public schools there for many years. A school in the San Fernando Valley is named for her. A spinster, she died in Los Angeles on April 13, 1941.
