SANTIAGO REBOLLEDO Arango  was born in 1951. He is a Colombian artist living in Mexico since 1975. He began painting because his father Gonzalo Arboleda was devoted to art.

Santiago Arango Rebolledo studied engraving with professor Humberto Giangrandi at the University of the Andes in 1972 and drawing and painting with professor David Manzur from 1972 to 1974 in Bogotá, Colombia.

He was also in "Taller 4 Rojo" directed by Professor Nirma Zarate in 1973, and he was part of Bellas Artes at the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota.

In 1974 he made a mural for the Bank of Bogota, El Castillo branch, and that motivated him to travel to Mexico and study mural painting.

He studied at Escuela Nacional de Artes Visuales de San Carlos - UNAM with muralist professor Armando Carmona. He also studied drawing with Gilberto Aceves Navarro, painting with professor Thomas Parra and lithography with professor Adolfo Mexiac from 1975 to 1979.

In 1979, Santiago Rebolledo received an Honorable Mention from the Museum of Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia. With el Grupo Suma, he received First Prize in the Experimental Hall at the National Auditorium in Mexico City.

His work has appeared in several Mexican publications: A Century of Mexican Art, 1900 - 2000, History of Mexican Art (SEP - Salvat ), Graphic Design in Mexico 100 - Arts of Mexico 2011 (Group Sum), among others.
