Ralph Papa has been drawing and painting since his early childhood in Manhattan on East 105th Street. In the 1960's after developing his own style, he studied art and architecture at Queens College and City College of New York and painted under Henry Gasser at the Art Students League. Papa worked primarily in New York City and exhibited and sold his paintings in Greenwich Village.
Through the 1960's and 70's, his paintings were of larger than life faces conjuring a pens (showing 500 of 2783 characters). |
