| Zoe Adele Capps Schminke was born in Missouri on July 17, 1890. By 1909 Zoe Schminke was a widow and living in North Carolina. During the 1920s and early 1930s she had a home in Anderson, Indiana. By 1950 she had moved to southern California and settled in Ventura. She died there on December 29, 1982. Her paintings are mostly colorful floral still lifes.
