| Harold Helvenston was born in Florida on October 21, 1902. Helvenston grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. He worked for Disney Studios in the 1930s as professor of dramatics and scene painter on such films as “Fantasia.” He was author of “A Manual of Scene Design.” While living in southern California, he was active on the Monterey Peninsula and exhibited with the Carmel Art Ass’n. He died in Los Angeles on June 14, 1966.
