Hazel Clarke Witchner 1890 – 1972
Born and active in Toledo, Ohio art circles, Hazel Clarke was primarily a student of her father, noted Toledo artist John W. Clarke (1861-1940). She and her father often painted along the shores of Lake Erie at Lakeside and Marblehead, Ohio.
She was a past President of the Toledo Federation of Women’s Clubs, the Toledo Women’s Club and the WCTU. In addition to being a member of numerous social clubs, she was also a member of (showing 500 of 1072 characters). |
