| Ellen Coit Elliott was born in New York on December 26, 1860. Ellen was the wife of Orrin L. Elliott, the first registrar at Stanford University. She settled in Palo Alto about 1890 and was active in the local art scene. She died in Los Angeles on December 31, 1957.
