Juan Eugenio Mingorance Navas 1906-1979
J. E. Mingorance was born in Jaen, Spain in 1906, though his family moved to Buenos Aires when he was only three.
Mingorance studied art in Malaga, and earned the Gold Medal in 1930 there, and also in Madrid. After studying in Paris at the Académie des Beaux-Arts, he moved to New York City, though he returned to Paris to live from 1937-1940. He moved to Mexico City in 1944, where he remained for the rest of his life.
