Biography from Great American West Gallery:
Paul Moore is a fifth generation Oklahoma native and is a member of the Creek Nation. In fact, Moore's fascination for Native American culture goes back to his grandfather, who knew Quanah Parker and regaled Paul with stories about the legendary chief. Moore combined his love of history with art and decided to devote his career to producing sculpture of the American West. He spent many years in Santa Fe, New Mexico refining his talent and returned to Oklahoma in 1997 to re-establish the figurative sculpture program at the University of Oklahoma at the behest of University President David Boren.

Since that time, Moore has done numerous outdoor monumental sculptures and has landed important commissions for his work such as his sculpture of former U.S. House Speaker Carl Albert, which was installed at the U.S. Capitol in 2004 and the bust of former President John Kennedy, which was installed at the Kennedy Library in Boston, Massachussetts in 2012. Moore is currently working on a monumental sculpture of the Oklahoma land rush, which will be completed in the next few years and will be installed in Oklahoma City. In addition to these monumental sculptures, Moore does many smaller works.

Also he has been voted into membership of the Cowboy Artists of America. Most recently, Moore won three awards for his bronze, Offering to the Sun, which included the Gold Award for best sculpture, the Ray Swanson Memorial Award, and the Best of Show award from the Cowboy Artists of America in 2013.

Paul Moore resides in Norman, Oklahoma.
